The swimming pools in Ribeira Brava reopened today after a month closed to the public. The infrastructure was undergoing maintenance, cleaning and improvement work during this closure period.
The work carried out included general maintenance interventions, a deep cleaning and improvements to various equipment in the pools.
One of the main improvements implemented was the total replacement of the previous lighting system with LED technology, providing greater energy efficiency and better lighting quality in the facilities.
The local authority responsible for managing the pools decided to proceed with these interventions during the period of lower use to minimize the impact on regular users of the infrastructure.
