In the run-up to the return to school, physiotherapist Mariana Santos shared important recommendations on the correct use of school backpacks. According to the specialist, backpacks should represent only 10% of the child's weight, have wide straps and always be adjusted to the spine.
Mariana Santos also addressed the advantages and disadvantages of the well-known "trolleys", which are backpacks with wheels. The physiotherapist made a balanced analysis of this type of backpack, considering both the benefits and the negative aspects of its use.
Additionally, the specialist explained how materials should be organized inside backpacks to ensure proper weight distribution and minimize the risk of injuries in children during the transport of school materials.
