The IPMA (Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere) placed seven districts of mainland Portugal under yellow warning until 9 PM today, Monday, due to heat.
The districts covered by this weather warning are those most affected by the heat wave affecting the Portuguese mainland.
The IPMA forecasts for this Monday on the mainland periods of partly cloudy or clear skies, temporarily cloudy on the North and Central coast.
The high temperatures that justify the yellow warning represent a risk situation for the population, especially for more vulnerable groups such as the elderly and children.
