Maria Reina Martín, former leader of the Regional Directorate for Education of Alentejo, who held leadership positions between 2011 and 2015, has passed away. Her death was publicly communicated by her son, Pedro Pimpão, through a post on social media, where he thanked the numerous messages of support and affection directed to the family.

Maria Reina Martín left a recognized mark on public administration and institutional communication in the Alentejo region. In recent years, she was part of the Communication and Information Office (GIC) of the Coordination Commission for Regional Development of Alentejo (CCDR Alentejo), continuing to contribute to the region's institutional communication.
