The main members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries plus allies (Opep+) kept the oil production quotas unchanged for October. The decision is in accordance with the group's schedule, which provides for keeping the targets stable until the end of the year.
A group of seven countries, led by Saudi Arabia and Russia, held a monthly videoconference this Sunday and confirmed the maintenance of production levels, after a series of symbolic increases in quotas, as Opep stated in a statement.
The war between the United States and Iran continues to paralyze much of the production in the Middle East. The conflict between the two countries has, for now, diminished the impact of Opep+ decisions, as the disruption in the Strait of Ormuz affects operations in the region.
