The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and allies (OPEC+) decided to halt production increases and maintain oil levels in October. The decision marks a pause in the strategy that had been implemented for over a year.
The measure puts a temporary end to the gradual production increase efforts. This strategy was aimed at gradually reversing the two voluntary cuts that member countries applied in 2023.
With the interruption, oil production levels are expected to remain stable next month, without the increases that were previously planned by the group.
