The Portuguese musical group Friends of Sobreposta performs this Sunday at Penha, in one of Guimarães' most emblematic spaces. With a consolidated career in popular music, the show promises fun, fellowship, and strong audience participation.
The group gained new exposure thanks to the track "Bota Fogo no Terreiro." An interesting fact is that the song is not particularly recent: it was released in 2012, but it only became a viral phenomenon over ten years later, driven by concertina circles and TikTok.
This explosion of popularity took the track to conquer new audiences without losing the connection to the popular roots that have always characterized the group. The impact has been visible in the Friends of Sobreposta's schedule, with dozens of concerts booked for this year, across the country and also among Portuguese communities abroad.
The performance is part of the summer programming of the Tourist Resort of Penha, running until September 13.
