The Portuguese Government expressed satisfaction with the decision of the financial rating agency Fitch to raise Portugal's rating to A+. The Prime Minister classified this upgrade as "another great victory for Portugal".
With this upgrade, Portugal now stands at the same level as countries such as France and Belgium regarding the assessment of the country's capacity to honor its debts.
Fitch thus recognized the improvement in Portugal's economic and financial conditions, placing it among the economies with an A+ rating, which represents a positive signal for investors and international markets.
