The president of the Portuguese Football Federation, Pedro Proença, stated that the Football Association of Évora had been in insolvency proceedings for almost a decade. During this period, the association faced serious financial difficulties that compromised its functioning and development.
Currently, the Football Association of Évora has close to five thousand practitioners, which represents a significant growth in its activity. This number reflects the recovery of the institution and the return of players and teams to regional competitions.
According to Pedro Proença, the association managed to overcome the insolvency situation and now has assets exceeding 2.5 million euros. This transformation represents a remarkable financial recovery for an institution that was on the brink of bankruptcy.
