Cuba. PCP demands that Government use diplomatic capacity

The Portuguese Communist Party (PCP) is demanding that the Portuguese Government use its diplomatic capacity to help Cuba overcome difficulties in accessing medicines, food and fuels. The PCP leader considers that Portugal has "very high experience in diplomacy" that can be mobilised for this purpose. The party's position arises in a context of difficulties faced by Cuba, which faces shortages of essential goods. The PCP understands that the Portuguese Executive must intervene diplomatically to contribute to unblocking this humanitarian situation.
