Hugo Soares, Secretary-General of the PSD, criticized the motion of censure presented by André Ventura, considering it completely "out of touch with reality" and without basis to call the Government into question.
The social-democratic leader also accused André Ventura of once again seeking to be the center of media attention, suggesting that the motion of censure has as its main objective the personal exposure of the Chega leader.
Hugo Soares defended that there are no valid reasons for the Executive to be called into question, thus rejecting Ventura's intention to bring down the government through this parliamentary instrument.
The PSD's position comes following the presentation of the motion of censure by André Ventura, who has frequently used television channels to communicate his political positions.
