Flavio Bolsonaro goes to Paraná to visit ex-advisor of Bolsonaro government arrested for January 8

cbn5 September 2026 at 16:29

Flavio Bolsonaro, candidate for President of the Republic by PL, is in Ponta Grossa, in Paraná, this Saturday to visit Felipe Martins, former special advisor for international affairs under the government of Jair Bolsonaro. The meeting is expected to take place at the city's public jail and is attended by the candidate for governor of Paraná, Sergio Moro, and the president of PL in the state. The visit was authorized by Justice Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Federal Court, and a press conference is scheduled after the meeting.

Felipe Martins is serving a sentence of 21 years in prison. He was convicted by the first panel of the Supreme Court for crimes related to post-election proceedings after the 2022 elections. The former advisor is involved in drafting the so-called Coup Draft, a document that proposed interventions in the branches of government after the election results.

Martins has been imprisoned in Ponta Grossa since the beginning of this year. On January 2, Justice Alexandre de Moraes ordered the detention after finding there was a risk of flight and continuation of criminal activities. The conviction refers to crimes committed during the post-election period of 2022.

"More than words: facts and results": PSD Deputy Francisco Figueira highlights new Évora Bypass

PSD deputy Francisco Figueira celebrated the inauguration of the Eastern Évora Bypass of the IP2 as a "historic moment" for the Alentejo, considering it a decisive 12.8-kilometer infrastructure, with an investment of 54.9 million euros, and criticized the former "Gerrymandering Government" for not completing the IP2 route during its eight years in power. The PS congratulated itself on the work, funded by the PRR, but recalled that it was assumed by a socialist government and "abandoned and totally paralyzed" in 2011 by the PSD/CDS-PP executive. The PCP also claimed the completion of the remaining section of the IP2, which has been suspended since 2011.
