The Municipality of Bragança has launched a public tender of 860 thousand euros, plus VAT, for conservation and improvement works at the Municipal Theatre. The intervention will focus mainly on the roofs and facades of the cultural facility, including waterproofing work, restoration of existing elements, and intervention on the skylight and glazed structures. The project has an estimated duration of 180 days and will be carried out in phases, allowing the theatre to remain operational during the work.
The intervention coincides with the start of the new cultural season, running from September 11 to December 19. The programme includes national and international proposals in theatre, music, dance, circus, and other artistic areas. Highlights include the 6th edition of Bragança ClassicFest, BÔ JAZZ – Vicente de Sousa Fest, performances aimed at schools and families, and various concerts with international artists and ensembles.
The season closes on December 19 with "The Nutcracker", presented by the Tchaikovsky National Ballet. Tickets are priced between two and 16 euros, with also free admission initiatives and discounts for different audiences. The reporting work was signed by journalist Vitória Botelho.
