A 36-year-old man from Belinho, Esposende, was slightly injured following a road crash on National Road 13, in Marinhas, Esposende. The accident occurred around 7:15 PM, when the car he was in left the road and ended up hitting an electricity pole, causing it to fall.
The Esposende Volunteer Firefighters were dispatched to the scene with an ambulance and a rescue vehicle. Although the injured person was considered minor, they were treated at the scene by the emergency services and later taken to Barcelos Hospital.
The occurrence was reported to the Braga Traffic Division, which carried out the necessary investigations to determine the circumstances of the accident. The impact also caused damage to the electrical infrastructure, with the pole being knocked down as a result of the collision.
