The Government increased the discount on the Special Tax on Petroleum Products (ISP) by three cents. This decision was made to reinforce the brake on fuel prices.
One of the largest increases ever in the ISP was planned. However, the executive chose to reinforce the brake mechanism to mitigate the impact on fuel prices.
This measure aims to protect consumers from the effects of increased taxation on petroleum products. The reinforcement of the ISP discount allows for alleviating the pressure on prices charged at fuel stations.
