The Prime Minister of Portugal indicated that the discount on fuel tax already amounts to around 700 million euros in 2026. Montenegro made this statement today, referring to the fiscal impact of support measures for fuel consumers.
The official also admitted that new measures may be adopted should fuel prices remain at the levels observed in the last four weeks. This possibility of new interventions arises in response to a possible maintenance of current price levels in the market.
