Seia celebrates 10 years of ministry of Canon Joaquim Cardoso Pinheiro with Thanksgiving Mass and Social Dinner

The Parish of Nossa Senhora da Assunção in Seia will commemorate on September 12, 2026 the ten years of pastoral service of Canon Joaquim Cardoso Pinheiro as Parish Priest of Seia. The priest also holds the position of Vicar General of the Diocese of Guarda.

The celebration begins at 7:00 PM with a Thanksgiving Mass at the Church of Nossa Senhora do Rosário in Seia. This eucharist aims to be a moment of recognition for the dedication, pastoral work and journey of faith of Canon Joaquim Cardoso Pinheiro, bringing together the parish community of Seia and its annexes.

After the eucharistic celebration, the festive program continues at 8:30 PM with a social dinner in Pinhanços, promoting a moment of gathering and sharing among the parishionians and the honoree.

In Portugal, there is no maximum age to drive light vehicles in category B, but drivers must renew their license at 70 years old and, subsequently, every two years. From the age of 60, it is mandatory to present an electronic medical certificate, and from 70 years old, a detailed report of clinical history is required when the evaluation is not done by the attending physician. It is not necessary to repeat the driving test to renew the license. However, there are specific limits for professional categories: drivers of passenger transport vehicles (categories D1, D1E, D and DE) must stop driving at 67 years old, as well as drivers of CE vehicles with a mass exceeding 20 tons.
