Eight young Spaniards, aged between 17 and 21, were detained by the Republican National Guard in the early hours of this Friday in the Quarteira area, in the Algarve. The detainees were intercepted in actions related to fuel.

The young men were brought before court during the day today, having remained silent about any connection to trafficking activities. The authorities did not reveal more details about the exact circumstances of the detention.

GNR carried out the operation that resulted in the detention of these eight Spanish citizens, suspected of involvement in illicit activities related to fuel in the Algarve region. The silence of the detainees in court did not allow clarifying the motivations or the extent of the presumed criminal activity.
