Dog Arka helps GNR locate missing 78-year-old elderly person

A 78-year-old elderly person, who was reported as missing, was found alive this morning at 10:10 am by the GNR, in a forest area. The alert was received and a search operation was immediately triggered to find the man.

The operation involved various divisions of the territorial and intervention service of the GNR, with the reinforcement of a drone team from the Emergency Unit. The dog Arka played a fundamental role in locating the elderly person, helping the authorities find the missing person.

The man was found alive after the combined efforts of the different security forces involved in the operation.

Witnesses believe the creature could be a gray fox or a fisher cat, but police have not yet managed to capture it to identify the species. The main suspicion of authorities is that the animal is contaminated with the rabies virus, and the population has been advised to remain alert to their surroundings.
