Almost 20% of Public Security Police (PSP) officers are of pre-retirement age, but cannot enjoy this right. The situation affects a significant number of officers who would already meet the necessary conditions to access this regime.
This year, only 900 officers will be able to access pre-retirement, a number lower than in previous years. This limitation contrasts with the proportion of officers who are already of eligible age for this benefit.
The union that represents PSP officers criticizes the situation, pointing out that the reduction in the number of pre-retirement slots directly affects the professionals who should be able to benefit from this right. The union entity considers that the current conditions are insufficient to meet the needs of the officers.
