Motorcyclist loses life after violent crash on EN101 in Monção

Last Thursday, September 3rd, a 35-year-old motorcyclist died as a result of a violent accident on National Road EN101, in the Mazedo area, Monção, in the direction of Monção-Arcos de Valdevez. The accident occurred very close to the Monção winery, when the motorcyclist lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into the median of the junction there. The reasons for the crash are still unknown.

The alert was registered at 11:12 PM, with the Monção Volunteer Firefighters responding with eight operatives and two vehicles. The GNR was also present at the scene of the accident.

The victim was taken to the Monção Basic Emergency Service already in serious condition, ultimately dying at that healthcare facility.
