Two people were rescued alive from a tunnel in Nepal, after days of rescue operations. The operation mobilized dozens of Nepali rescuers, who had the assistance of international specialists.
Specialized teams from India, China and South Korea participated in the rescue work, bringing technical expertise to the operation.
The rescuers had spent approximately a week excavating various tunnels that had been buried since a flood. The flooding caused the blockage of the underground passages, significantly complicating the rescue efforts.
