The mansion announced for R$ 220 million and considered the most expensive in Brazil, located in Jardim Pernambuco, in Leblon, has begun to be demolished to make way for a new luxury condominium called Estância Pernambuco. The mansion was at the center of negotiations for six years between its owners and developer Mozak.
The new project will be a gated community with only ten high-standard houses. Even before demolition progressed, seven units had already been sold, representing 70% of the total, with only three houses remaining available for sale.
According to the real estate agency responsible for the sales, the properties were negotiated at an average of R$ 35 million, with values ranging from R$ 24 million to R$ 42 million for the most expensive unit. The lots have dimensions between 900 m² and 1,800 m², a size considered rare in Jardim Pernambuco, where plots typically have around 500 m² and much of the land is made up of sloped areas.
