The financial rating agency Fitch is deciding on Portugal's rating at a time when specialists point to favorable conditions for a potential upgrade at the next review.
According to the specialists consulted, the main reasons for a possible rating improvement are related to the reduction of Portuguese public debt and the economic growth recorded in the country.
However, the same specialists warn about the traditionally conservative stance of rating agencies, which may hinder a more favorable decision, even in the presence of positive economic indicators.
