DGS alerts for dust in the air and advises vulnerable population to stay home

The Directorate-General for Health issued an alert for the presence of dust in the air, mainly affecting the Central and Southern regions of mainland Portugal.

The phenomenon is expected to continue until Saturday, representing a particularly high risk for vulnerable groups in the population.

The DGS advised people belonging to these risk groups to remain indoors during this period, in order to avoid health complications associated with prolonged exposure to dust.
