The European Capital of Culture (ECC) Évora_27 launched today two calls to support community initiatives. One is called "Mê Vizinho" (My Neighbor) and is aimed at residents of the municipality of Évora, while the other is called "Comunidades do Vagar" (Communities of Leisure) and covers the 14 municipalities of Central Alentejo. Both calls are managed by the Association Évora 2027 and aim to revitalize territories, strengthen a sense of belonging, and promote active participation in community life.
The call "Mê Vizinho" has a total budget of 100,000 euros, with financial support of up to 4,000 euros per application. Projects must be carried out between November 16, 2024 and October 1, 2027, with priority given to the revitalization of public and community spaces in the municipality of Évora. Individuals, informal groups, and legal entities residing in the municipality may apply.
The call "Comunidades do Vagar" has a budget of 60,000 euros, supports projects of up to 2,000 euros per application, and supports community, participation, inclusion, and intergenerational dialogue projects. It has two funding phases, with the first opening today. Projects must be carried out between November 16, 2024 and December 11, 2027 in the Central Alentejo territory. Individuals, informal groups, and legal entities may apply.
Applications for both funding lines can be submitted through an online form available at www.evora2027.com, starting today and until October 7.
