Local Value Radio celebrated its sixth anniversary, a milestone reached since its founding in September 2020. The radio station grew and modernized over these years, gaining its space in the regional media landscape and now preparing for a new phase in its history.
The radio is investing in technological modernization, with new equipment and solutions to improve sound quality and the listeners' experience. It is also preparing new programs and content. On digital platforms, the station has gained relevance on myTuner, approaching the top 100 best-positioned radios in Portugal on this international platform that brings together more than 50 thousand stations from over 200 countries.
One of the most remarkable moments of these six years was the election debates held during the last municipal elections, in the municipalities of Azambuja and Vila Franca de Xira. Local Value Radio was the only media outlet to hold these debates, which were met with a full house and thousands of people following through the radio and digital platforms.
Miguel António Rodrigues, the person in charge of the station, thanked collaborators, professionals, partner entities and listeners, emphasizing that the radio is part of a broader information ecosystem that includes the Local Value Newspaper, the website, video and social media. The article concludes that the history of the radio is far from being over and that the goal is to continue building a radio that is close to the community, professional and open to the community.
