Rock in Rio starts this Friday with its first performances, which will run until Monday, Independence Day holiday. The event will have as its backdrop weather marked by rain forecast, which makes the rain poncho a mandatory accessory for the audience attending Cidade do Rock. It is important to note that, according to the event rules, it is prohibited to bring umbrellas to the venue.
According to the Alerta Rio system, from the city of Rio de Janeiro, on Friday there will be predominantly partly cloudy skies. However, due to areas of instability associated with a cold front in the ocean, isolated light rain is forecast for the evening period. Winds will be moderate, between 18.5km/h and 51.9km/h, and temperatures rising.
For some nights of the event, meteorology indicates the possibility of wind gusts of up to 60km/h and even thunder. These adverse weather conditions reinforce the need for preparation by spectators who intend to attend the shows during the first weekend of the festival.
