Microsoft expressed satisfaction with the approval of Redata, a bill that guarantees R$ 7.5 billion in incentives for the data center sector. The text was approved by the Senate on Wednesday (2) and now awaits presidential sanction. The tech giant commented on the incentive during the launch of a new space dedicated to creating digital resilience projects, which aims to protect data from governments and companies against cyberattacks, natural disasters, or global regulatory changes.
The vice president of government and corporate relations at Microsoft Brazil, Elias Abdala, stated that the perspective of bringing more competitiveness to the country is very positive. According to him, Brazil has the capacity to take a leadership position both in developing solutions and in digital infrastructure. Abdala emphasized that this search for competitiveness is always quite positive for the sector.
