Rock in Rio will begin this Friday (4) with an extensive technological security and monitoring apparatus. The City's Operations and Resilience Center (COR-Rio) has set up a special operation for the festival.
The main measure is the creation of a "belt" composed of 800 security cameras. This video monitoring system will focus on the regions of Barra Olímpica, Curicica, Barra and Recreio, covering the entire area around the event.
In addition to the cameras, three drones will be used to monitor traffic and crowd flow around the festival. The technology aims to ensure greater control and security during the days of the event.
COR-Rio will be responsible for coordinating this entire integrated technological system during Rock in Rio.
