The Coimbra Viva fund, mostly owned by the municipality of Coimbra, intends to move forward in 2027 with the rehabilitation works of ten plots on Rua Direita, in Baixa de Coimbra. The planned investment is 2.8 million euros.
The process was recently discussed and analyzed at a municipal meeting, with the architecture project having already been approved. The works aim at the rehabilitation of a set of plots that are part of the planned intervention for the historic area.
This project is part of a broader strategy for the enhancement of Baixa de Coimbra, an area that has been the subject of various rehabilitation interventions in recent years. The Coimbra Viva fund leads this investment, taking advantage of the management structure that allows it to maximize resources for larger-scale interventions in the historic center of the city.
