oglobo3 September 2026 at 22:54

The mansion considered the most expensive in Brazil began being demolished in Leblon and the process is expected to last three months. The property sits on an 11,500 square meter lot and features 15 parking spaces, living and dining rooms, a paralympic pool, music studio, library, and leisure area with a barbecue grill.

In addition to the main residence, the property also has a two-story dollhouse, built with the same finish as the mansion, which was used for the recreation of the family's children and even has its own suite. Another annex housed 46 employees of the family.

The main residence was built 46 years ago in the English style and belonged to the Amaral family, former owners of the Disco supermarket chain, which once had more than 50 stores in Brazilian cities.

On the lot, the high-end residential complex Estância Pernambuco will be built, with ten houses, where each lot costs R$ 23 thousand.

Meet the plant commonly used in cooking that, when grown in a pot, keeps mosquitoes away

Basil, an aromatic plant widely used in cooking, especially in Italian cuisine, can be grown in a simple pot and works as a natural mosquito repellent thanks to its characteristic aroma. The plant does not need much space and is relatively easy to care for, making it ideal for placing on balconies, terraces, or near the kitchen. The months of May and June are the most suitable for planting, allowing it to develop during spring. As for watering, basil needs water frequently, especially in summer, but it is important to avoid waterlogging to ensure its proper development.
