The Jesuit priest Miguel Gonçalves Ferreira presented this Wednesday, in Braga, the book "Tirar a Bíblia da estante," which proposes a guide for integrating the Word of God into everyday life. The session took place at the Livraria Apostolado da Oração bookstore and aimed to bring the Bible closer to the daily life of readers.
At the presentation, the author explained that the intention of the work is "to try to improve the image of Jesus, translate it with joy and make it richer, closer to each one of us." The book structures an approach to the four evangelists around a spiritual life program that includes feeling, understanding, seeing, and remaining.
The speaker Cláudia Araújo highlighted that reading this work helps the faithful "return to the Gospel with the certainty that there is always something new to discover." Suzana Mendes Gonçalves classified the publication as a dynamic instrument "to take it off the shelf, to pray, bringing prayer to life and life to prayer."
The publication, edited by Editorial Apostolado da Oração, results from the compilation of texts that Father Miguel Gonçalves Ferreira originally wrote for the magazine "Mensageiro do Coração de Jesus."
