Portuguese consumers are paying two cents less per liter of semi-skimmed milk since January. In July, the average price of this product reached 0.89 euros, according to data collected by the Price Observatory.
The decrease in milk price represents a relief in the family budget for consumers who regularly purchase this product. Semi-skimmed milk is one of the most consumed dairy products in Portugal.
The Price Observatory is the source responsible for collecting and analyzing this data on consumer price trends. The values recorded in July indicate a downward trend in prices for this basic product.
This two-cent reduction occurs in a context where many consumers have felt the impact of the increased cost of living in recent years. The decrease in milk price appears as a positive signal in the evolution of prices for essential food products.
