Coimbra researchers find new hope for incurable genetic disease

A team of researchers from the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology at the University of Coimbra (CNC-UC) has developed a study that represents new hope for a genetic disease that so far has no known cure.

The study, conducted by CNC-UC in partnership with other institutions, identified a promising approach to treat or slow the progression of this genetic condition.

This discovery comes within the scope of biomedical research developed at the University of Coimbra, an institution recognized for its work in the field of neuroscience and cell biology.

The researchers believe these results may pave the way for new therapies, although further studies are needed to confirm the approach's efficacy in humans.
