The University of Coimbra launched on Thursday a social prescription service, considered a novelty in the Portuguese university context. This service was created with the aim of promoting the well-being and quality of life of the academic community.
The service also aims to combat social isolation among university members. Through this approach, the goal is to offer alternatives beyond traditional medicine to improve the well-being of students and staff.
The initiative represents an innovation in the university landscape, marking a trend toward integrating social health strategies in the academic environment. This holistic approach recognizes the importance of social factors in overall well-being.
