Teachers' salaries now depend on lesson summary registration

Notícias de Coimbra3 September 2026 at 08:24

Teachers will now have a maximum period of five days after the end of each month to enter lesson summaries. This new rule means that the payment of their salaries will be dependent on compliance with this registration.

The measure is part of an administrative reorganization that aims to ensure greater control over the teaching work of educators. The registration of lesson summaries is considered an important document for recording what was taught in each class.

Teachers will need to ensure that they enter the information related to their classes within the established deadline. Non-compliance may have a direct impact on monthly remuneration.

This change comes in a context of debate about working conditions and the valorization of the teaching profession, generating different reactions among the unions and the Ministry of Education.
