The Portuguese Institute of Corporate Governance (IPCG) holds on September 15th at the Centro Cultural de Belém in Lisbon its Annual ESG Conference dedicated to the theme "Business Strategy, Data Quality and Financing", with the support of the four major audit firms. The event will address the integration of sustainability into business strategy, the quality of non-financial information, the challenges of mandatory reporting, and the impact of new European regulation, including CSRD and the Taxonomy Regulation. Representatives from Banco de Portugal, CMVM, NOS, Novobanco, Floene, and Benfica SAD will participate, debating the assessment of the financial sector's exposure to climate risks and the incorporation of ESG criteria into business models. IPCG underlines that the quality of sustainability data is today as critical as traditional financial information.
