Aryna Sabalenka advanced to the third round of the US Open after defeating Polina Iatcenko with a double 6-1. The tournament's number two seed showed her favorites status by completely dominating the match against the 17-year-old Russian youngster.

Sabalenka, who won the last two editions of the US Open, gave her opponent no chance and continues her pursuit of an unprecedented third consecutive title at Flushing Meadows.

The Belarusian, one of the main title contenders, confirmed her excellent form by passing this round with ease. Iatcenko, who was playing only her second appearance in a Grand Slam main draw, couldn't keep up with the pace set by the two-time champion.
