Brazil: Flamengo gets back on track with victory and puts pressure on leader Palmeiras

Maisfutebol3 September 2026 at 08:37

Flamengo defeated Mirassol two-nil in a Brazilian Bundesliga match, with both goals scored in the first half. The team coached by Leonardo Jardim thus returned to good results after some less successful matches.

With this victory, Flamengo reduced the gap to the league leader, Palmeiras, creating pressure on the team in first place in the standings. The result keeps the title race still open in the remaining rounds of the season.

Mirassol, the home team, could not counter Flamengo's favoritism and ended up defeated without managing to score. The visiting team showed superiority throughout the first half, securing the three important points for their campaign in the championship.
