Large rockfall at Eira do Serrado

A large-scale rockfall occurred this afternoon on the Eira do Serrado Road, in the municipality of Câmara de Lobos. The incident was documented through photographs sent to the newspaper DIÁRIO.

In the images, it is possible to observe a car and some people stopped at a considerable distance from where the rocks fell. Witnesses present at the scene indicated that the rocks did not hit anyone or vehicles.

The newspaper DIÁRIO tried to obtain more information about the incident, having contacted the Voluntary Firefighters of Câmara de Lobos to find out if any emergency related to the incident had been reported.
