Greenland's Prime Minister, Jens Egede, stated that the times of conquering countries are over, demonstrating a firm position against any attempt at external interference in the territory. The statement was made at a time of geopolitical tensions involving the Danish autonomous island.
Egede publicly thanked the support received from European Union member states, reinforcing the ties of solidarity between Greenland and the European bloc. This support demonstrates a coordinated position among European countries in light of the situation.
In a direct message to the United States, Egede warned that any North American interference in Greenland will be interpreted as interference against the entire European Union. The message aims to make clear that the case will not be treated as an isolated issue, but as a matter of collective European interest.
