A memorial in tribute to the victims of the Elevador da Glória accident will be inaugurated on Thursday, about a year after the tragedy that occurred in Lisbon. The memorial was created by the Lisbon City Council to commemorate the victims of this accident.

The memorial space features a 150-year-old olive tree, which serves as the central element of the memorial. This centuries-old tree is surrounded by 16 stone blocks.

The stone blocks have specially prepared surfaces for engraving the names of the victims of the accident. This feature allows the names to be permanently recorded at the memorial as a form of tribute.
