State servers in Rio de Janeiro reported on Monday (the 1st) that the September payment (reference month August) was deposited with double deductions made by Bradesco, the bank responsible for the payroll of public agents. A post on social media made by a page for state servers stated that there was "Payment to the account with deductions from Bradesco at the source" and that it was "State management error," adding that "Bradesco will return the money."
The state government, through the Secretary of Planning and Management (Seplag-RJ), confirmed the inconsistencies in the deductions. According to the department, the problem was related to a single agency, without specifying which one, but that "it was resolved in time for the deductions not to be realized in the servers' accounts."
Seplag advised that servers with questions about the payment should contact the Human Resources department to which they are linked to clarify any issue related to the episode.
The column also reached out to Bradesco for comment on the situation, but the bank's response was not included in the article.
