Six people were detained on Tuesday (1st) after a robbery in the underground walkway leading to the RioSul shopping mall, in Botafogo, in the South Zone of Rio. Among the suspects are two adults and four teenagers. One of them was captured by police officers from the 2nd BPM.
According to the Municipal Force, the incident began when the victim approached a team patrolling the area and reported having been robbed in the Lauro Sodré underground passage. Based on the characteristics provided, the agents searched the vicinity and located the group on General Góis Monteiro Street.
During the approach, the victim identified the suspects as the perpetrators of the robbery. Objects related to the crime were found with one of the teenagers. Complaints of robberies and thefts are common at the location.
