Tugboat intercepted in the Canary Islands with more than 3,300 kilos of cocaine

A tugboat called GT Victory was intercepted on Tuesday in waters near the Canary Islands, with eight crew members on board. The vessel was carrying more than 3,361 kilos of cocaine. The ship was subsequently escorted to the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where it remains in custody. The eight sailors were evacuated to the island of Gran Canaria, awaiting being placed at the disposal of the National Court, the judicial body with jurisdiction over the case.
