The Guarda Municipal Council approved a set of projects related to the national road EN233, in the section that crosses the São Francisco Valley. The municipality also deliberated on the declaration of public interest for the São Francisco Valley Urbanization Plan, in a meeting of the municipal executive.
The approval of these projects comes within the scope of an urban and road requalification process of that area of the municipality. The São Francisco Valley is an area that has been the target of interventions by the council, with the objective of improving circulation conditions and land management.
Also in this meeting, the municipal executive approved the award of the requalification of Rua Miguel de Unamuno, which will be carried out by a company for a value of 527 thousand euros. This intervention aims to improve the conditions of this artery of the city of Guarda.
The council did not advance specific dates for the start of the works, but the approval of these projects and the award of the requalification represent the next steps of the municipality for the enhancement of that area.
