The municipality of Arcos de Valdevez, led by mayor Olegário Gonçalves, signed the consignment for the construction of the Alameda Cultural Gallery, marking the beginning of a project that aims to expand the municipality's cultural spaces and increase the capacity to host exhibitions and other art events.
The Alameda Cultural Gallery is part of the Alameda Cinematic Theater requalification project, which will be adapted to host artistic creation projects and production, promoting the sustainability and growth of cultural and creative industries in the territory.
The new space will operate within the Alameda Cinematic Theater and will include exhibition areas for visual arts, video and multimedia, as well as locations for conferences and small-scale performances. The objective is to return memory to the community and create a meeting point that promotes social and artistic intersections.
The work is integrated in the Operation "NORTE2030-FEDER-03022900" and is co-funded by ERDF through the NORTE2030 Operational Programme, Portugal 2030, with an eligible investment of 1,606,744.89 euros and community co-financing of 606,703.53 euros.
