Portugal should aim for GDP per capita equal to the European average, says economy minister

The Economy Minister stated that Portugal should aim to reach a GDP per capita equal to the European average. The government official made this declaration during an official ceremony.

The ceremony marked the delivery of the Digital Exploration Title for two new Repsol factories in Sines, in the district of Setúbal. The factories are expected to become operational at the end of 2026.

The investment in this project is 820 million euros, representing a significant milestone for the region and for the Portuguese industrial sector.
