Almost a year after the derailment of the Gloria Elevator, which caused 16 deaths in Lisbon, the criminal investigation into the accident remains inconclusive.
The Public Ministry is the entity responsible for the investigation and expects to complete the expert examinations and technical tests related to the accident by November.
Investigators estimate that the final ruling of the inquiry will be known by the end of the first quarter of 2027.
